Greetings DieselFunkateers! The last few days have been pretty intense with closing out my BlackJack Collaboration with Alex Simmons. Of particular complexity is that this is the first comic I’ve done in almost 15 years. I must say being around all of these comicbook artists as of late has an old dude thinking about the simplicity of just doing a comicbook.

Greetings DieselFunkateers! Back last night from the Schomburg in Harlem. It’s already an Amazing enough experience to see the art of Black Kirby. But to see them explain the process of the how and why is mind bending. If you get a chance to check out the Stacey Robinson and John Jennings duo you’re in for treat.
Did you know that Jack Kirby actually came up with the name and character Black Panther before the Black Panther Party called themselves the Black Panther Party? Who knew?

Black Kirby is a partnership between Jennings and Stacey Robinson. I love the way they revamp the works of Jack Kirby but with a forward thinking mindset.
