Matty’s Tours the Low-down Dirty South!  Greetings Dieselfunkateers!  Our work takes us below the Mason Dixon Line to the Mississippi Delta Comics Workshop.

The Dieselfunk Crew has now set out once again to further spread the Gospel of Matty’s Rocket.  After a quick flight to Atlanta, GA to pick up my Dad (and Running Buddy), we proceeded to Clarksdale, Mississippi. Day One featured our girl students to the art of creating comics as well as to innovators of the form (Day 1 was Jackie Ormes, Micheline Hess and Barbara Brandon.  Special Thanks to Ms Tarra Slack for setting up the event. Next up our group will get more deeply into art creation.  Afterwards, Dad and I drove around and saw areas we haven’t visited in decades.  No doubt a cosmic event because I am bringing Matty back to her literal Birthplace.   Up next; DAY 2
